WOMEN PROTECTION CELL

Objectives of the Committee:

  1. To promote a healthy working environment for all female staff and students.
  2. To build a gender-sensitized environment at the institution.
  3. To empower women in all aspects.
  4. To organize workshops and awareness programs towards building a gender-neutral workplace.
  5. To promote a culture of respect and equality for females.
  6. To highlight the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene, and safety.
  7. To organize activities to raise awareness about health, sports, self-defense, etc., among women.

Functions and Responsibilities of the Committee:

  • Empower women through education.
  • Organize health awareness programs.
  • Address and resolve women-related issues and complaints.
  • Create awareness about women's welfare.
  • Provide complaint handling and counseling services.
  • Improve interpersonal skills.
  • Protect the girl students.
  • Motivate and raise awareness among girl students about their strengths.
  • Celebrate International Women's Day annually in March.

Composition of the Committee:

  • Chairman :(bridge between committee and management, arranges funds and permissions)
  • Coordinator :(coordinates departmental members and represents issues to the committee)
  • Faculty Members :(represent concerns of their departments to the committee)
  • Member from medical :(handles sick and women-related issues)
  • Advocate :(addresses legal aspects related to raised complaints)
  • Student Members :(class representatives, bring class-related problems to the committee)

Roles and Responsibilities of Members:

  1. Chairman: Facilitates communication between the committee and management, manages funds, and obtains permissions.
  2. Coordinator: Coordinates departmental members and presents issues to the committee.
  3. Faculty Members: Represent concerns of their respective departments to the committee.
  4. Member from Medical: Attends to medical and women-related issues.
  5. Advocate: Deals with legal aspects of raised complaints.
  6. Student Members: Act as class representatives, bringing class-related problems to the committee's attention.
